For over 75 years, Westside Guild of Children’s Hospital has focused on increasing awareness and raising funds for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. This year we are excited to raise funds for two associate projects – The Associates Endowed Chair in Pulmonology & Sleep Medicine and the Associates Chair in Ophthalmology.
Children’s Hospital Los Angeles is one of the nation’s premier children’s hospitals and has a tremendous impact on children and families in our city and around the world. More importantly, they serve any child who walks through their doors.

About Us
Westside Guild brings hope to children and their families throughout the world who have found a home at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Since 1947, Westside Guild has supported Children’s Hospital Los Angeles donating over nine million dollars. Every year, our Luncheon of Hope gathers women in our community to create awareness and support for the cutting-edge work of the hospital.
Our History
Founded in 1947 by twenty five women, Westside Guild was established as the Juniors of Santa Monica, an auxiliary to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles. The organization supported the Kiddie Karnival at Roosevelt School. In 1958, it became The Racquet Rally with 48 couples participating in a tennis tournament at Lincoln Park and Santa Monica College tennis courts. The group changed its name in 1959 to the Westside Guild of Children’s Hospital.
Eventually the Racquet Rally moved to the private courts at Westside homes with a party following at the Beach Club. In 1989, Westside Guild hosted the Holiday Showcase Gala which has evolved into our current, Luncheon of Hope, attended by approximately 400 guests. We are honored to raise funds and increase awareness of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles as well as bringing hope to thousands of families from all over the world.
